As usual, I've been doing nothing lately and if there is something that I did, its killing time, reading automotive forums and watching TV series online. Anyway, I find it amusing when I browse through and read threads...
about Perodua and Proton cars. I notice that there is a group of Proton loyalist/supporter (whom I think is very immmature) and a group of Perodua loyalist/supporter (who is equally if not more immature than the Pro-Protons). For those who follow the updates of our local automotive industry and for those who don't, I bet you'd know that there is this craze about the MultiPurposeVehicle war. As we all know, Proton launched their Exora not too long ago but Perodua will be launching their 5+2 seater vehicle, based upon the Passo Sette/Boon Luminas next week.
Hmmmm... the Pro-Protons are bashing up the soon to be launched, yet to launched Perodua MPV. You can see loads of negative comments or insinuations such as poor handling, tight third row seat and the lack of crash testing and etc etc etc. The Pro-Peroduas on the other hand would be bashing up the Exora for its poor reliability, underpowered engine and etc etc etc. Well, in my honest opinion, fighting over whose car is better is like saying that I've a BIGGER dick than yours. Geez... freedom of choice, freedom to purchase. If you feel that the Proton is better, then enjoy your drive and shut up. You don't have to give negative comments about the other car. And for god's sake, those Perodua supporters, can't you just love your Perodua and leave Proton alone. Give Proton a chance. Albeit at a slower pace compared to other automobile manufacturers from Korea or China, Proton is showing signs of improvement.
P/s: To all Perodua Myvi owners out there, there is a high probability that you might lose both your airbags one day. There is a suspected flaw in the car which enable car thieves to steal the airbags and hell they will cost an arm and a leg to be replaced. Malaysian car thieves sudah tentu Boleh!!! Stealing airbag...
