Fishing, under extreme weather condition

>> Sunday, August 23, 2009

This is my first post about fishing in this new blog. Sunday, August 23; It was a rainy Sunday morning. I woke up at about 8 a.m and went out for breakfast (yummy, Dim Sum)at about 9 a.m. Reaching home at about 10.30 a.m, despite the heavy rain... me and dad decided to go fishing. Geez... I've to admit, it's damn cold. Well, with the sky keep pouring down and the sea condition that wasn't so forgiving, we headed out to the middle of sea and lay our nets.

First round, 5 threadfins. Second round 9 threadfins. Third round, the final round was disastrous. Somehow, the net caught a fish rack or maybe a sunken boat and it tore the whole net. Out of 18 pieces of nets, 2 pieces were totally destroyed by that unknown object. But luckily, there was a consolation. Half a catty of big prawns(unexpected), 2 threadfins and hell a big red snapper(BIG surprise). The red snapper is totally unexpected, and for a size that big to be caught on our nets is rather remarkable considering that the nylons are kinda thin. Wonderful!!! RM 200 worth of nets destroyed, RM20 worth of red snapper and RM50 worth of threadfin (prawns excluded), the fun from this crazy fishing trip under extreme weather condition, PRICELESS. Hahaha...

The unlucky snapper or the lucky me?
